Also a trigger for vice versa, I need external fans to be switched on when I turn my amplifier on with its remote.

This feature already has code from another feature and is likely ready to implement in a single day of dev time.

Any news about the (possible) implementation?

This is essential feature. Even GPT and Gemini have been sure that this feature exists in the app. I spent hours to try make this happen, but unfortunately. This topic exists more than 1.5 years. Developers should be ashamed. For the moment, I quiet disappointed with the missing essential condition

I was redirected here to vote on this post. I would like to see either the Charge Guard function support thresholds above 20 W, or alternatively allow the energy level to be used as a trigger. This would enable a simple and reliable shutdown of a charger once a defined power or charge level is reached (e.g., stopping charging at 80%). Since the charging power of an e‑bike battery differs significantly from that of a phone charger, it is essential that the Charge Guard function supports a much wider wattage range (well above 20 W).

This is a much needed function. Monitor power consumption and then do a smart action. My water pump keeps burning out as parts fail. I need the smart play to switch off if wattage >250w for 30mins and send notifications. No other smart switched can do this fully. I currently use a Tuya that's OK but not great. If you did this it would be unique selling point for a bit of code? I'm continuing to research alternatives and will switch all of my smart devices if I find

yes very useful, as right now there is no way to utilise the numbers to take auto desicions ie: when power consumption is greater than 1000W turn off or if power consumption is less than 300W turn off, i need bothese scenarios in my case

I charge an electric bicycle battery and it charges at about 120W. I would like the Tapo plug to switch off the battery charging once the charge rate drops to about 70-90W as this is when the battery is reaching about 80% fully charged... which is the recommended maximum charge level in order to lengthen the battery life as much as possible.

The current beta feature of the plug only goes as far as allowing setting up to 20W before the charge protection feature can work... can we get it modified to allow a range of at least 1W to 100W ?
