Hi,

 

Got a Instachill 18EX 

 

My smart plug operated via the app will only turn the  Instachill 18EX Power switch on.

 

To my disappointment with the TP-smart plug, the actual rotation of the fan/cooler can only be  started manually by again pressing the power on switch on the Instachill 18EX . 

 

This is not a good result

The smart plug functions to control the power supply to the connected device. For devices with an additional switch control, such as air conditioners or smart TVs, whether connected to a conventional power outlet or a smart plug, you'll still need to control these devices separately when the power is turned on.
