Sensor T100 and T110 "no motion" not working
Hi,
I've set up a simple routine to turn off the lights if no movement is detected. I tested everything for hours and came to the conclusion that something doesn't work correctly with the time set for detection.
I don't mean the internal interval of the sensor (4 - 60 seconds), but in the actual routine.
I tried two motion sensors with the same result. So this doesn't seem to be the result of a defective unit, but rather a softwrae issue.
When I select 30 seconds, it works perfectly fine. But picking anything else, like 1 or 2 minutes, like I actually need it to be, doesn't work. The lights stay off.
Funny that when I create a routine inside the alexa app to shut them off after X minutes, it works. It's just inside the Tapo App that doesn't.
So again, 30 seconds works fine, anything higher doesn't work at all.
This seems to be the case with different products.
I have a T110 door sensor, which I programmed to lower the lights after 15 minutes. It doesn't work also. I tried 2 minutes. Nothing.
When I changed it to the "preset" of "open for 1 minute", it worked and dimmed the lights like it should.
I hope this gets fixed soon, because it's very annoying to have the lights go out after 30 seconds already. I wonder how nobody else noticed this or has this issue.
Regards,
Mauzi
