Hello, if the socket allows you to measure electricity consumption, does it also allow, if I create automation in the Tapo app  with it, to use e.g. instantaneous consumption or voltage, power as a trigger? I.e. eg "Add starter-> Start device -> P110 -> when socket current < 100mA -> start another socket"? Thanks.

Anyone who has the same feature request, please vote for this post and share a specific usage scenario in which you want to use this function. This will facilitate the evaluation of this request by the relevant TP-Link team.

Hi, thank you. The computer consumes more than 50W, even 70W if it is in operation. "Off" consumes 3W. According to the measured electricity consumption in the outlet, it would be possible to automatically turn off the printer, monitor and other more devices that are in operation only with the computer.

This feature can already be used if you use Home Assistant. An action can be triggered depending on the current consumption of electricity with the Tapo P110 outlet there. However, the Tapo app does not know to use it.

An example of use of this feature: I want to turn my old gas heating off after my tapo house alarm automation is activated (i.e. leaving house) but only want to shut heating off while not actively running

If aging parents forget something on for too long time, I would like to receive an alert (or better, create automation to turn it off)

When I turn my movie projector off via the remote it needs to keep the fan running to cool down before going into standby; once it goes into standby the reported power should drop and I would like to use this as a trigger to turn off the tapo plugs my projector and subwoofer are plugged into.

Modify Power Sensing as a Trigger (https://www.tapo.com/au/faq/239/) as I want to be alerted and not necessarily disable the connected device automatically. Maybe an extension of this feature: 1. Ability to define threshold over a period of time 2. Option to disable automatically or send alert.

I would also like to have the ability to create an trigger or notification (email/SMS) to alert that a device connected to a Smart Plug is on or drawing a threshold amount of energy over a period of configurable period time. 1KW over 10 minutes. This would allow proactive monitoring for faulty devices or where unexpected usage is occurring, limiting energy-use for household/ specific devices. An example is someone has left the heater on for more than an hour. The freezer door is left open. Be notified that your sump pump has been running for an extended period which may indicate a bigger problem.. - This is different to the Power Sensing as a Trigger (https://www.tapo.com/au/faq/239/) as I want to be alerted and not necessarily disable the connected device automatically. Maybe an extension of this feature: 1. Ability to define threshold over a period of time 2. Option to disable automatically or send alert. 3. Option to trigger another device.
