I went today to read the Automation and Shortcuts article

( https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2734/ )

 

 

And wanted to create this simple Automation:

 

Everyday, at 07:00AM, send a Single Image from the Camera, to a Specified Email Address.

 

 

After reading the whole article,

it seems that the only action that I get for a Tapo Camera, is Enable/Disable Privacy Mode.

 

The Tapo app does not offer any other actions..

 

 

My question:

Is it possible to achieve what I want to do somehow?

Maybe using a Zapier or IFTTT?

(Can a Tapo camera work with either one of these services?)

Hi,
The feature to send a single image from the camera to a specified email address is not available on the Tapo camera, and your usage scenario can't be achieved via the Smart Action feature on the Tapo app.

Currently, the Tapo cameras can achieve some usage scenarios via IFTTT and do not support Zapier, however, your usage scenario also can't be achieved via IFTTT.

 

If you have other usage scenarios that want to be achieved, please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi, 
You can refer to the instructions below to make the Tapo device work with IFTTT.
How to make my Tapo devices work with IFTTT?
For the Tapo C320WS, the Trigger can be the camera detecting some events, and the Action can be the camera turning on/off privacy mode, turning on/off spotlight, etc.

Can you please raise a feature request,

to add an Action "Take a Picture", for devices of type Camera?
