Model: Tapo C420S1
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.12.17 rel 75572

Hi,

Everything is in the title. The camera is detecting events (cars etc) ouside of the detection zone.

Even with a sensibility of 6/10 for cars, it's detecting cars that are outside of the detection zone (set for all).

Is the detection zone not working at all for you as well on the C420?

Thanks

Hi,
Please help confirm the following information for the reported case.

1. Ensure the camera's firmware, hub's firmware, and the Tapo app are up to date.

2. On the camera's Device Settings>Detection page, please send me a picture of this page and a picture of the Wake-up Sensitivity page.

3. Share a video showing the reported case.

Best Regards

  @mikael95

Hi,
If you have a cloud service such as Google Drive, you can upload the video and picture to the cloud server and generate a link, then send me the link to download them.
Or I'll escalate your case to our tech team so that they can contact you via email, and you can send us the video and picture via email.
Best Regards

@mikael95 Hi, Here's a recent thread of mine for similar issues.

It seems a bit strange, but I think this is the reason: "Activity Zones or Privacy Zones won’t affect the PIR sensor" ?
