Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.11

Why do my c310 cameras go offline every time they switch to night mode?

The WiFi signal does not change.

The power does not change.

I've checked all these things and still,EVERY time they go to night vision, they drop offline and will NOT reconnect until daylight!

Hello.

I've fixed it!

The cameras are powered through 2 extension leads of approximately 12m

I have replaced the power adaptors on both with a 12v 2amp unit.

I replaced one first to see what would happen. The replaced one stayed on as it switched to night vision mode. The other one with 9v supplied adapter immediately went offline.

I replaced that with another 12v unit and it immediately came back online..

So it appears the supplied power adaptors are not adequate.

Hi,
The problem phenomenon is strange. How do you judge if the camera goes offline when switching to the night mode? Is it showing offline on the Tapo app?
Have you selected the video mode to Auto mode on the camera's Live View page?
Will the camera switch from night mode to day mode automatically and then show online on the Tapo app in daylight?
It would be highly appreciated if you could provide more information about your problem phenomenon to locate the issue.
Best Regards
