Hi,
When do we get fix for the firmware? All my Tapo cameras do not work in home assistant anymore after firmware update.

Hi,
Tapo Camera adds changes to protect product and user information security. Since there is no official collaboration with HomeAssistant, there have been no changes or designs made to the camera specifically to adapt to HomeAssistant. However, our camera supports RTSP/ONVIF protocols, and you can still watch the camera's live feed through RTSP/ONVIF on HomeAssistant.

Hi,
The new firmware of the Tapo C320WS supports the RTSP/ONVIF protocols. In your case, it's recommended to refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?
Please confirm the following information for further analysis if the problem remains.
1. The results of the above instructions.
2. If you have not tried to change the camera account on the Tapo app, you can try it. You can also factory reset the camera, reconfigure it, and try to establish the RTSP/ONVIF connection again.
3. Can you establish the RTSP/ONVIF connection successfully if you use other apps, such as VLC and iSpy?

Having the same issue, new update blocks C120 camera setup in home assistant due to cloud password bug (change on tp-link side).
You can certainly find out more about the issue at the github repository for the integration.

This is a product and brand killing issue for me and many others that are using home assistant. I bought the camera only because it was supported in home assistant.

It's an unfortunate turn of events. Having the motion sensor from your camera useful in HA was a strong selling point for your products.

@Solla-topee
I bought a camera that could be turned off with HomeAssistant, and suddenly this feature is taken away!
This problem needs to be fixed... I don't like my devices being online, and now they accidentally got updated and don't work properly.
That's why I replaced the XIAOMI solutions, but now TP-Link is next in line.

@Tsv78 When will you fix the connectivity with the Tapo integration in Home Assistant? A lot us with Tapo cameras needed to downgrade firmware for it to continue working in HA, but now 1 year later from when you broke the possibility for the integration there is still no solution from TP Link. I was thinking of buying some more Tapo cameras but won´t until this is fixed. Do you have an estimate and when will the new solution be launched?
I refer to the HA community:
TP link stated that they are now working on a new version of application, that would allow the cameras with new firmwares to be used inside this integration, just like before the changes.
They expect this feature to be completed and launched by mid-November.

I support this. I would also like to see this issue resolved as soon as possible. I would like to be able to control the camera through HA. Because I was considering another camera, but now I'm not sure, I may have to look for another option.

@Flynnsson
Mid november has passed and the cameras still do not work, i hope they push the update soon or i will have to replace all this tp-link stuff with eufy or something else that just works.

I'm also waiting for this fix. I just installed three TP link cameras that I'm about to rip out because of this incompatibility. An update would be nice.
