I can't connect to my security camera over RTSP
I am experiencing connectivity issues with one of my two identical security cameras, particularly when attempting to establish remote connections or connect to different Wi-Fi networks. Both devices utilize the same internal port (554). Despite trying to forward the external port (555) for the problematic camera, I am unable to connect using external applications like VLC or IPCams. I have already performed resets and reboots without success. The other camera functions normally on both internal and external ports, regardless of connection type or network. My router is an Optus F@st 5366 TN, manufactured by Sagemcom. It's unclear whether the issue lies with the specific camera model, a router configuration problem, or difficulties related to remote connections and network switching. The Tapo App works fine both locally and remotely

Hi,
If you can stream the two cameras locally, it means that the corresponding service port 554 on the camera is fine. Currently, the RTSP service port cannot be changed on the camera.
In your usage scenario, you need to open port 554 for the camera on the router for remote access with VLC or IPCams. The internal port of the two cameras can be 554, but the external port cannot be the same. For example, one camera's external port can be 554, and the other can be 555.
It is worth noting that after completing the settings, for the camera with external port 555, the URL format used for remote access should be rtsp://user:password@1.40.XXX.XXX:555/stream1, not rtsp://user:password@1.40.XXX.XXX:554/stream1.
If your settings are correct but you cannot access the camera with external port 555, it may be a problem with the router. We recommend contacting router support for further assistance.

My router broke a few days ago, a technician came in and fixed the connections so I could access the internet. one setting they changed is that I have no static IP, I now have a dynamic IP, I used DDNS so I could connect to my cameras, it worked, having a dynamic IP fixed my problem of ports not working. I do not know what was the issue of having a static IP. I guess having a static IP did not let me port forward all my cameras except one of them. They fixed another issue without knowing they did it.

1. Please describe your network diagram. Are the two Tapo C210 connected to the same router's Wi-Fi network directly?
2. For the problematic Tapo C210, are you able to stream it properly in the local network?
When streaming the camera remotely, what URL have you used on apps like VLC or IPCams? What error message appears when failing to establish the connection remotely?

Yes they are directly connected to the Wifi. I can stream the 2 tapo cameras locally both with IPCams and VLC. When I establish connection to the camera that won't connect over another wifi or remotely, it would say connection timed out or that it couldn't open the stream. The internal port and external port have to be the same as I did further testing. But how do I access the 2 cameras both remotely without the tapo app. I can't change the port for the network stream, usually port 554, but since one is occupying port 554 for streaming over the internet, I can't use the other one unless I open up the tapo app.
The URL format I use for VLC Remotely
rtsp://user:password@1.40.XXX.XXX:554/stream1
For IPCams Remotely
it is different but I have to type in sections, like the IP, Port, url directory (the /stream1 or /stream2) etc.

Well for my router, the external port and internal port have to be the same. I just cannot connect. I think the only way is to run a server which can connect to my camera locally, then I port forward that server so I will be able to access it and have PTZ controls
