C520WS Keeps Disconnecting
C520WS Keeps Disconnecting

For some time now I have noticed that my Tapo C520WS camera keeps disconnecting from my wifi network and doesn't reconnect back on its own while other tapo cameras are well connected on the same wifi network. I have to restart the camera evey time to reconnect it back to the wifi network. But found no solution so far.

Hi,
It's hard to say if the problem is caused by the camera or not from the information we have. You can try to contact your retailer or local team if you want to get a replacement. If you want to follow up on this case, please send us the camera log and the router's model router.
Best Regards

o problema não fica resolvido, já testei com outra internet e passado algum tempo fica off-line.

@Sc9 no help good solution so far the camera's hardware or firmware is faulty it self i have even tested the camera and router both kept on the same table but it disconnects even then.
The only proper solution is to use wired connection. I have plugged the camera with rj45 from Lan connection since then it haven't disconnected.

I would advise plugging the camera into a wifi smart power plug.
These can be purchased at bunnings, jbhifi, jaycar or online cheaply.
If the camera disconnects from wifi, at least you can powercycle the camera remotely to regain wifi connection.
This applies to all camera models.
I find wifi has never disconnected. but have only used it with a wifi smart plug.
Good luck

My Router model is Archer AX73+ Archer AX10 in easy mesh
I guess the device C520WS it self is problematic I will go to service center next week to replace the device.
I have also emailed tplink about the matter and they don't seem to bother.
I Should have bought C200 model as I have 3 of them and they never have any problem.

Hi,
For your reported behavior, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1. How often does the disconnect behavior occur?
2. When the camera is connected to the Wi-Fi network and working, please check its RSSI value on the Device Settings > Device Info page by tapping the Wi-Fi icon. If the RSSI value is less than -60 dBm, move the camera closer to the router and check if it helps.
3. What's the model number of your router? Do you have a stable Wi-Fi connection from your router?
4. Is the camera connected to your router's Wi-Fi directly rather than an AP/RE?
5. When did you purchase the camera?
Best Regards
