Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 240621 Rel 162048

I just enabled Home Assistant to interogate the devices and I am finding calcaultion errors for Watts.

Home assistant can interrogate the P110 and display the following:

  • Voltage (Vrms)
  • Current (Irms)
  • Watts (W) then
  • Energy (kWh)

The results have not been very gratifying;

When the device is interrogating all three parameters at the same time;

The wattage result can be half the calcualted result.

I noticed on the website for specifications that there are no accuracies supplied for the measurements.

I have downloaded the data from home assistant and put into excel files with time stamps.

I cannot attach as this forum will only allow 1 file

Can you confirm the methodolgy for the power calculations?

The next step is to use the voltmer and ammeter to verify

  @Castlereagh

Tapo does not support Home Assistant. We do not provide support for unofficial usages.

  @Wayne-TP THanks Wayne for following up, but I will confess it is a great way to monitor the quality of the volts and current.

Just this morning turning a 1.2kW kettle highlighted a 2% drop in voltage.

I will verify with a Fluke power quality analyser.
