Hello,

 

I have been using the Tapo C200 v5 for a while, being quite pleased with its functionality.

 

I have it integrated with Frigate using account camera and I have used ONVIF until now to control the camera remotely.

 

Unfortunately, the latest firmware update Tapo C200(US)_V5_1.1.4 Build 241219 has broken this functionality and ONVIF does not longer work for me.


I can see in release notes this mention:  3. Improved device ONVIF compatibility.

What has actually changed? Is there anything I can do to bring back the controls to the camera?

Same here with EU version : Tapo C200(EU)_V5_1.1.4 Build 241219
ONVIF stopped working with the upgrade on Frigate.

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the reported issue.
What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?
 

If the problem remains, please confirm the following information.
  1. List the troubleshooting you did and the result.
  2. Send us your network diagram. 
  3. Check if you can establish the RTSP/Onvif connection locally, and test with other apps(such as iSpy).

Same problem with TC70 Try other apps (like iSpy) - they work
