C225 image quality horrible compared to C220

Hello,
I purchased a C220 back in November 2024 to use as a baby cam for my first child. The image quality is EXCELLENT on the C220 v1 (firmware 1.2.5), however my baby started noticing the red IR at night so I decided to purchase a C225 v2 (with the 950nm IR) in February 2025, figuring the image will be awesome like the C220 along with the invisible IR at night. Boy was I wrong.
I was shocked by the image quality on my C225, it's like night and day compared to the C220. At first I thought maybe the settings were off, I double and triple checked. Both at 2K QHD, same 30fps, etc. C220 image is far superior in both day and night mode. I tried with HDR on and off on the C225 and it didn't make any difference, I tried with 850nm and 950nm IR at night mode and it also didn't make any difference. The C220 image is just much, much better.
In order to make sure that I did not get a dud (manufacture defect), I decided to order a second C225 which just arrived today. And guess what, it's the same.
I can now confirm that the C225's image sensor is horrible from the factory or the image processing is messed up.
I really cannot believe TP-Link would sell the C225, one of their top models, with such horrible image quality compared to their lower model, C220.
Furthermore, if you search this forum I am not the only one who noticed that the C225 image quality is worse than other Tapo cameras, such as C200, C120
Tech support should get the two models and compare their images, but I'm pretty sure they already know about this, that the C225 image is inferior compared to their other cameras BUT costs more!

@Blund Check with night mode on, it won't switch when it should.
You can't change colour temperature, it's only possible with the newest models, like with my c260, but I'm sure they could easily add it to c225 V2 to fix your problem, so you could match it with the previous c225 v1 - https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/816954
There is a hope that in the future they will add it to that cam:
Anyway, turn off HDR for c225 v2, and it should look a lot better at night with day mode always on.

@SugarBaby Thank you for your suggestions.
@Blund It's unable to change the colour temperature of the Tapo C225 V2, and if you want to use a different image style on it, I'll log the feature request and forward it to the related team for evaluation.
You can try turning on/off the HDR option on the Tapo C225 V2 to see if the image quality improves, and feel free to reply if you have any updates.
