I have been using Tapo for past 3 years, when I relocated and reinstalled it now night vision not working in spite of enabling the option. 
 

can anyone guide on how to make it work.

  1. How do you test if the Tapo C210's night vision does not work? In what usage scenario was the test conducted?

 

  2. When you select the Night mode on the Tapo app > C210's Live View page, is the IR light turned on?

 

  3. What's the firmware and hardware version of your camera? You can go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page to find the version info.

  @Ravanan_27 same thing just happened to me this evening. It didn't switch to night mode while in "Auto". When I put it in Day mode I can see clearly at night. When I put it in night mode, it doesn't work. Did you get your issue resolved? I did a reboot and still the same.

Hi,
When the camera's video mode is set to "Auto", it will automatically switch between Day mode and Night mode based on the ambient lighting conditions. In the situation you described, if the camera operates in Day mode and still presents a clear image at night, it indicates that the ambient light is sufficient even at night. Therefore, it is normal for the camera not to switch to Night mode under these circumstances.

 

Regarding your mention of the camera's video mode being set to "Night mode" but not working, please clarify the specific phenomenon you are experiencing. Are you referring to the live view not switching to a black-and-white image, or are there other anomalies? If possible, please share a screenshot of the camera's live view page so we can better understand the situation.
