Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

After solving detection problems with my first camera, I bought and installed a second one. Easily installed and included in the app. Problem is that the second camera does not hold the settings. I set for only person detection, setting area of detection and after a while, all detections are ON with out specific area!!!

I do save settings in area.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Thanos

Hi,
Typically, the camera's Detection settings won't change automatically. In your situation, please go to the Tapo app > Cameras tab > Home/Away mode to check if your camera is included, and confirm if you have pressed the Home/Away mode before the camera settings change.

If so, it may be that the preset settings in the Home/Away mode apply to your camera after you press the Home/Away mode tab, and then the camera's Detection settings change.
How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app?

@Solla-topee Again my thanks for reply.

Yes, settings had to be done in the "AWAY MODE".

From what I can see now, detection options are set and remain. Only the "person detection area" which I set in the away mode, after a while, changes to full screen in both cameras.

thanks

  @Thanalas

Hi,
You can refer to the following steps to troubleshoot.
  1. Refer to the instructions below to change the password of your TP-Link account. Then log in to the Tapo app with the new password.
Please do not share your account info with any other persons.
What can I do if I forget my password for the cloud account

  2. On the Tapo app > Cameras tab > Away mode > tap the Edit icon at the top right corner and then delete your cameras from this mode.

  3. After that, please go to your camera's Device Settings > Detection page to check if your settings are correct. If so, wait for some time and check if the settings will change.

Best Regards
