Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I am going to get a RE 705X and using Easy Mesh to connect it. The RE 705x has an ethernet port that I want to use to also connect it physically to my LAN which uses a managed switch as well.

Am I right to assume this setup will provide Ethernet Backhaul function?

Will it provide faster throughput with my wireless devices? ie. Wireless device(phone) connects to the RE 705X whereby data will then pass on my LAN via this ethernet connection?

Am I right about what I say here? I cannot find a clear answer in the threads about this.

This won't work the way you describe it. That's because when using the RE705X LAN port for a backhaul it should be configured in AP mode.

If RE70X is in AP mode you can't have an Easymesh feature. Currently you can use RE705X only with wireless backhaul - in this case its LAN port can be used to connect a wired device.

For now the range extenders which support Easymesh ethernet backhaul are published in this thread (RE705X is not in this list).
