Model: Tapo C211
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

When I exit privacy mode (turn recording on), the camera changes position. How can I make it so it stays looking at the view it was last looking at. It is not detecting movement and does not have motion tracking enabled. It always returns to the same (default?) position when exiting privacy mode. I believe this only started happening when I updated the firmware.

Thanks, but no smart actions were enabled.

For anyone else facing this issue, rebooting the camera through the app appears to have solved it (for now)

  @StupidQuestions

Hi,
Typically, turning on or off the camera's privacy mode won't change its viewpoint. In your situation, you can go to the Tapo app > Smart tab > Automation or Shortcut page to check if there are any entries that may change your camera's viewpoint. If so, turn them off for a try.
Best Regards
