Video feed stops every 5 minutes

Both the camera and the client phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi home network yet the video feed keeps stopping every 5 minutes. This did not happen when I bought the camera on May 2, 2025. Can this behavior be corrected?

Typically, if the Tapo app streams the camera's live feed through our cloud server, you will receive a prompt to continue viewing the camera even if your phone and the camera are on the same network. You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot.
Why can't I view the live stream of the Tapo camera continuously?
If the problem persists, you may try disconnecting the router from the internet, rebooting the camera, streaming the camera's live feed on the local network, and then restoring the internet to the router.

Its really annoying to click every 5 minutes on the screen when you are watchin eldery people and you are away on a different network.

To effectively manage cloud service resources, ensure a stable monitoring experience, and prevent potential issues such as network data overages or battery drain on battery-powered cameras, there is a certain time limit for continuous live streaming when streaming the camera via our cloud server (remotely) in the Tapo app.
We sincerely appreciate your feedback on the Tapo camera's features. I'll log it and forward it to the relevant department for evaluation to improve our product.
