C325WB playback recording limited to around 4 minutes

I'm trying to playback & record a stored section of the video from my C325WB.
I've done this many times before and been able to play back & record the playback for many hours of video.
However most recently it seems the playback & record stops after recording around 4 minutes and 20 seconds worth of recording.
Have the limits changed recently or how can I get around this limitation?

Hi,
Do you mean that on the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback page, you can't watch continuous video recordings, and only detection video clips are available?
If so, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1. Have you inserted an SD card into the camera?
2. On the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page, please check if you have configured to store continuous recordings.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card

@Solla-topee no, I can watch the playback continuously without any interruption, but if I use the record function whilst watching the playback (for example to save a video of what was recorded) the record function stops after around 4m 20s.

You can uninstall the Taop app, reinstall the latest version, and check if it helps.
Would you please explain why you want to record the video manually on the camera's Playback page? If you want to download video recordings from the SD card, follow the instructions below to use the Clip & Download feature.

@Solla-topee In addition to the CCTV functionality, use my Tapo camera as a sky camera to record events like the aurora or noctilucent clouds. Please don't end up as detected clips and so I need to play the recorded CCTV and capture the playback using the record function during playback
I also play back at a different speed (ie 16x) which means when I am recording I am recording a time lapse at a faster rate

2. What's the Tapo app version? Do you have the reported issue after updating the Tapo app?
