I have the same problem with Tapo C200, and discussed this with Tapo customer service. In the end, they suggested me to return the camera to the store I bought it from. I just got the same, but new camera and the baby crying detection is still not working.

My problem has been solved with the update which is 1.1.1 250626 Build Rel.55979n pushed by the support team and my cameras' crying detection function works properly.

Hi,
Your camera's model number is different from @Sezai1, and the firmware is also different.
In your situation, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1) Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, and send us the screenshots of the Detection page and the BabyCry Detection page.
2) Send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.
3) Send us a video showing the baby crying but not detected by the camera.
a) You can record the video manually by tapping the Record icon on the camera's Live View page.
b) If the camera has an SD card inserted, turn on the continuous recording function. In this way, when the baby is crying but not detected by the camera, you can manually download the video and send it to us.
You can upload the screenshots and video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
Best Regards
