Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Newest one

So I can't see anything in Google home at all, I tried hard reset of both cams, etc.

It was ok with c225 V2 on the previous firmware, but I can't see live stream with the newest one

I can't see live stream with my new c260 camera

So cat meow detection in c260 is very poor comparing to the c225, c225 can detect car meowing even if I play it in another room but with c260 I have to stand close to the camera to be able to trigger that detection, both cameras are set up for 10 sensitivity.

  @SugarBaby

Hi,
1. For the problem that the Tapo cameras can't be viewed in the Google Home App, please refer to this article: What to do if you can't access the camera's live feed on the Google Home App

2. Please place the Tapo C260 near your router and then check if it can detect the 5G Wi-Fi network. If the issue persists, please help check the 5G Wi-Fi channel of your router.

3. You can go to the Tapo C260's Live View page, set the microphone volume to a higher level, and then check if the cat meow detection performs better.

4. If you see the prompt "You've reached the live stream limit and can't change the resolution", this is usually because there are other devices streaming the camera with 4K resolution. You can check the following information for further analysis.
  1) Is the Tapo C260 subscribed to the Tapo Care service?
  2) Are there other devices streaming the camera's live feed? Locally or remotely? Via Tapo app or RTSP/Onvif connection?

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

1. downgrading Google home app worked

2. Fixed, check post under.

3. Tapo c260 microphone is set up to maximum and I can hear cat meows on records very clearly and loud but it won't trigger cat meow event.

I put same settings for both cams, c225 microphone to maximum and cat meow detection for 10, same for c260 but only c225 detects cat meows events if it's happening in few meters from the camera. I can clearly and loudly hear cat meow on c260 micro SD footage and cloud storage for c260.

4. Yes I have cloud storage for c260, basic plan.

I don't have anymore 4k cameras. I have only one 2k c225, I keep records on hub h200.

Thank you.

One more thing about c260 it's only recognizing faces when someone look directly into camera for at least 1 second or not recognizing at all, so if it is hanged under the ceiling detection is very weak, plus camera recognized these things as stranger faces:

  @SugarBaby

ok I fixed 5ghz, I had to change security to WPA/WPA2-Personal

I thought it would support newer protections ;d

My cameras are close to each other for testing cat meow detection:

Same settings for notifications and detections on both of them.

I played cat meow in other room and only c225 was able to detect it.

C260:

C225:

If both detects cat meow it's still trigger faster for c225 than c260 and because of it record is longer and more accurate:

  @SugarBaby

Hi,
1. For the cat meow detection issue, could you please send us the videos recorded by the Tapo C206 that show there are cat meows, but the camera can't detect them?

2. Regarding the facial recognition issue, please send us the videos showing that the camera detects the pictures in this post as stranger faces.

You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

3. A Tapo camera supports up to two mainstreams(high resolution) and two substreams(low resolution) to stream it simultaneously.

All mobile devices that stream the camera remotely will occupy a mainstream or substream, and a device that streams the camera locally will also occupy a mainstream or substream. If you subscribe to the Tapo Care plan, the service will occupy a mainstream.

In your situation, since you have subscribed to the Tapo Care plan, only one mainstream is left. When you watch the camera in the Tapo app and see the prompt "You've reached the live stream limit and can't change the resolution" when trying to switch to 4K resolution, it's usually because another device has occupied the mainstream.
Please check if any other mobile devices are streaming the camera in 4K resolution through the Tapo app. Additionally, verify if any other devices are streaming the camera via RSTP/Onvif in 4K resolution. (How to view Tapo camera on PC/NAS/NVR through RTSP/Onvif Protocol).

Best Regards

@Solla-topee

Ad 1 and 2. Check private message.

As you see, c225 is detecting it nicely, but c260 is struggling

Ad 3. That explanation is enough for me; it cleared everything.

@Solla-topee

Just c225 detection is superior comparing it to c260, copy algorithm from c225 to c260 and it will be fine hah :p
