Solution What to do if you can't access the camera's live feed on the Google Home App

This Article Applies To:
All Tapo Cameras that connected to Google Home.
Phenomenon Description:
You are unable to view the live feed from your Tapo camera on the Google Home App (Preview feature). Instead, you may see an error message or image like below on the Google Home App.
Workaround:
The Preview feature in the Google Home App allows users to stream the Tapo camera's live feed on the Google Home App. Many Tapo cameras were previously accessible in the app after joining the Public Preview, however, they are currently not allowed to be accessed in the Google Home App.
This is a known issue being followed up on the Google side to resolve, we appreciate your patience in waiting for Google to complete the fix.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. Just wanted to check — should I continue with your camera or consider switching to a brand that currently supports Google Home properly? Please advise.
Thanks,

@Solla-topee I have been waiting for a solution for several months too. I wrote to Google without receiving any response and, despite the updates to Home and the fact that I am in the preview program, the Tapo camera still doesn't work in GH. I understand that it's a problem on Google's side, but is it possible that a solution hasn't been found for months? Thank you for your attention

@Solla-topee Ive trusted TP link and instaled several Tapo C210 in my house just to find out Ive in fact downgraded from WYZE cams as its not integrated at Google home as advertised clearly in the box. I cannot access or view the live feed in google home app. Seems this thread is about this issue but there is no solution. Please advice since Im planning to return my camaras if not solved. Its not acceptable from Tplink.

Hi,
Our Tapo Camera features the "works with Google Home" logo because it has successfully passed Google's certification tests, and Google officially authorizes us to use the "works with Google Home" logo. It's important to note that this logo does not imply that the Tapo Camera supports viewing through the Google Home app, and it does not constitute false advertising.
Currently, after completing the necessary configuration steps(please refer to the instructions below), you can view the Tapo Camera's live feed on a Google Home Hub or any smart display that supports Chromecast (such as a TV with built-in Chromecast).
How to connect my Tapo smart device to Google Home?
We are gradually rolling out support for viewing the Tapo Camera within the Google Home app. However, due to issues on the Google side, you may see the reported issue in this thread when viewing the camera on the Google Home App. We have been regularly consulting the Google team on the progress of resolving this issue, but until now, we do not have information on when the problem will be resolved. Once there is an update from the Google side, we will update this thread in a timely manner.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee Its missleading and even if legal its for sure deceiving for customers. What ever excuse you try to use you know its just part of your speech. I'm returning this cámaras tomorrow and ill never trust TPlink again. I'm aware this is top sales product and my opinión is meaninful buy I dont agree with your marketing using intentionally deceiving advertising. Ezviz and even Wyze offer full support for google app and my money will go to them in the future. Shame on Tapo and TPlink. BRs.

@Solla-topee When downgrading the Google Home app on Android to version 3.25.1.4 I can see the live feed on the app.
Since Google Home app version 3.27.1.6 and above the live feed is no longer availble with the message in the first topic.
So it looks like that a new API/SDM is not right configurated in the firmware of the camera's and doorbell, which causes the message: "Live feed not available"
