Tapo Camera via Alexa - buffering
Hello,
I have Tapo outdoor cameras and doorbell camera, all with SD cards.
they work perfectly with my iPad and iPhone. High resolution images and good connections.
I've bought an Alexa Show 8 as I wanted to see the cameras when expecting a delivery.
Found out that to save their bandwidth bill, Tapo limit the camera to displaying for 10 minutes on the Alexa as it apparently goes through their servers and Amazon's instead of direct even though everything is using the same Wi-Fi. I gather the iPad and iPhone are direct?
There's a bigger issue than the annoying 10 minute limit though. And that's that randomly, sometimes within seconds of getting the Show to display a camera, the screen shows buffering and then returns to the home screen.
Amazon blame the router, electrical interference and other nonsense.
What's the truth Tapo? I'm assuming either Tapo or Amazon or both limit the available bandwidth to save money, and sometimes it's all used up by too many users being active and so we get the buffering error. Would this be right? Cos it sure isn't my fibre optic connection, router or electrical interference.
