Hello,

I have been using the Tapo C210 for quite some time now and have integrated it into Home Assistant via HACS “Tapo: Cameras Control” integration.

Today, my Tapo C410 Kit arrived.
I also added it to Home Assistant via the Cameras Control integration.

I have already found out that the battery-powered cameras do not transmit any images to Home Assistant. I can live with that.
But why don't I have a motion detection sensor?

I also tried the official Tapo integration. There is no motion detection sensor there either.
Have I done something wrong, or what is the problem here?

Hi,
Home Assistant is not our authorized third-party platform, and we don't have official Tapo integration in Home Assistant.

 

Our Tapo cameras can work with Google Home/Alexa devices. For example, if you have a Google Home hub or an Echo Show, after the camera is successfully connected to Google Home or Alexa, you can receive a voice notification when the camera detects a person or motion.

1. Please note that we can't provide tech support for the Home Assistant Integration since it's an open-source platform, not an authorized third-party platform that can work with our product.

 

2. If you mean the camera Tapo C410 can't detect motions with the Tapo app, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?

  @Solla-topee I understand but even with the official Tapo integration in Home Assistant it doesn't work.

 

My question is:

 

Is it somehow possible with the Tapo C410 camera to get a notification about a motion detection also outside the Tapo app?

For example via webhooks or similar.
