Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.3

I have just purchased a second C320WS pan/tilt camera and whilst setting it up i found my original camera was 1 hour behind in time. This was because it hadn't made an allowance for BST/DST.

I'd not noticed this before Sunday just gone, today is Wednesday 30th July, 2025 as I automatically assumed it used a reliable NTP.

Is there a fix for this in the pipeline?

I'm in the UK and I know I could manually change the time as the clocks change, but in this day and age, why should I rely on my ailing memory when I have a piece of hardware that should handle ti's.

In addition to this, I noticed there's quite a major difference between the two camera in that the original and new cameras have different hardware versions; V1 versus V2.

Could someone please explain (ppòthe difference is between the two, thanks?

Hi,
1. Typically, the Tapo camera will sync the date and time automatically after you set it up. If your camera has an incorrect time, please refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot.
Tapo Camera Shows Wrong Date and Time

If the camera with an incorrect time is connected to a third-party app via RTSP/Onvif connection, please disconnect the connection by disabling the Camera Account on the camera's Device Settings > Advanced Settings page, then reboot the camera, and check if it will have the correct time.

2. The main differences between the Tapo C320WS V1 and V2 are as follows.
  1) The C320WS V2 adds the vehicle detection feature compared to the V1.
  2) The C320WS V2 supports up to 512GB SD card, while the V1 only supports up to 256GB.
  3) The C320WS V2 supports use with the Hub, but the V1 does not now.

Best Regards

Is this still the case, as my V1 monitors  vehicle detection, unless my eyes deceive me. It's late in the morning here and I've just come out of hospital, so I'll delve deeper when I've caught up with my gazillion email!

Hi,
The Tapo C320WS V1 does not support Vehicle Detection until now. If you have a Tapo C320WS V1, please go to its Device Settings > Detection page to see the supported detection types.

  @adelphiaUK I feel such a dork!

The camera model is the C520WS, not the C320WS.

So, it's as we were at the start (the same issue exists, aas you can see from the cropped screenshot) but for the C520WS and not the C320WS. Apologies! Hence why I always (usually) add my discplaimer!

Hi,
For the wrong time behavior, please refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot.
Tapo Camera Shows Wrong Date and Time

Typically, the camera will sync date and time with an NTP server once connected to the internet. In your case, please pay attention to check if the camera connects to third-party devices/apps via RTSP/Onvif connection. If so, you can go to the camera's Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Camera Account page, turn off the camera account to disconnect the RTSP/Onvif connection, then reboot the camera and check if it will have the correct time.

Best Regards
