I have been using the camera for nearly 2 months. Everything seemed to be fine, until since 1 Aug, I could just view the live shot, but no record has been made for 7 days already. I didn't do anything and I was puzzled. The sim card still has room for recording and recording status is still good. What should I do?

Please confirm the following information for the reported phenomenon.

 

  1. What detection types are enabled on the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Detection page?
  2. On the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, please check if the Local Recording option is enabled. Then, please send us the screenshots of both the Local Storage page and the Recording Schedule page.
  3. How do you confirm no recordings are stored for 7 days? Have you tried to remove the SD card from the camera, connect it to your computer via an SD card adapter, and then check if there are video recordings for the past 7 days?

 

You can turn off the camera, turn it back on, and then check if the Recording feature works fine. You can also back up the important video recordings on your computer, then format the SD card in the Tapo app, and check if it helps.
