Model: Tapo C560WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have bought the new 560ws but the sound quality is awful. Lots of echo and background noise.

Also the alarm seems to be more sensitive and I can't set it up so that it only works for people crossing the boundary. It just goes off anytime a spider or cat cross it.

Not very happy so far.

Hi,
1. You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot for better sound quality.
Troubleshooting for better audio quality of my Tapo camera

2. If you have enabled the Line-Crossing Detection feature, the camera will detect persons or objects crossing the boundary. On the camera's Device Settings > Alarm > Alarm Event Type, if the Line-Crossing Detection is selected, then the camera will alarm when it detects persons or objects crossing the boundary. With these settings, it's normal that the camera goes off when a spider or a cat crosses the boundary.

If you only want the camera to alarm when it detects a person moving in a specific area, try the following steps.
  1) On the camera's Detection page, ensure the Person Detection is enabled and set a detection zone for the Person Detection.
  2) On the camera's Alarm page, please select Person Detection only in the Alarm Event Type.
  3) Then, the camera will alarm only when a person moves in the specific detection zone.

Best Regards
