Model: Tapo C120
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 250620

I got an update today v1.3.2

This page

https://community.tp-link.com/us/smart-home/kb/detail/412852

says

Tapo C120v1/1.6 - 1.3.2 Improved Audio Quality

But after updating the audio is completely messed up. Everything is garbled / static / echoes.

Live stream is affected.

Playback is affected.

Even recordings from before the update are affected.

There is nothing wrong with my network.

The camera was rebooted two times after update.

Another Tapo C120 still on older v1.3.1 firmware does NOT have any problems.

I also transferred some recordings from phone to PC.

It's pretty strange when I play a recording on PC.

Depending on which media player I use, the audio sounds different.

One plays it with echo, another is garbled, another is full of static etc.

Would like to upload 2 samples but it seems I can't, keeps fail to upload not sure which file formats are allowed.

External links also not allowed...

  @oldnamegone

Hi,
You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if your camera's audio quality does not meet your expectations.
Troubleshooting for better audio quality of my Tapo camera

By the way, you can send us the video recordings via email or upload the videos to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Best Regards
