Hey all,

I own the D210 for around a half year now, and despite the battery using more than what was promised ( despite 'saving' settings) I am happy with it.

It was quiet a learning curve with some settings buried very deep, and sometimes even very illogical, but I think I have most of it set up as it should.

There is just one thing that bugs me, and I would like to explain how it bugs me, and if people would know a solution to this.

I live in a household with 3 people. My partner and I, and my kid all have access to TAPO app on our own Android phones, each with their own seperate permission on one account. The idea of the D210 calling us, with the Android call system is pretty cool. So I tried installing it for all of us. However, we ran into immediate issues. When all three of us were home, not only our hub chimed, but the 3 phones as well. Continously. Which was a bit overkill and chaos everytime in home someone rang the bell. So as a solution, I thought it would be handier, if I turn off the audible call chimes for two phones, and keep one phone audible. (but all three of us, would still be called)

But the thing is, there is no way to turn off the sound for the two phones. Whatever I do for the other phones, they can't be silenced, unless the entire phone is silenced.

I already tried app settings and even the notification settings on my Android.

And other huge issue, I just want the doorbell chime to go off ONE time on the one audible phone. I don't want it to keep ringing as a ringtone. (My hub is set up to chime just one time)

Right now, I have withdrew permission for all three phones, so we don't get called anymore. Which actually makes no sense because we are missing out the convience of it.

But I want to use the call function.  I want to choose if I pick up the phone, or open the door immediately (for when I expect someone) and not having to run to my phone that is maybe charging somewhere else to turn off the continously doorbell chime.

What can I do? How to silence the two phones (Samsung S23 and A16) , and make the other phone (Motorola Razr) just make ONE chime sound when being called by the D210? Is there a step-by-step. Or is it a missed opportunity that TP-Link should implement in their next updates?

Consider changing the doorbell-pressed notification type to Push Notification. *Doorbell Device Settings > Doorbell > Doorbell Video Call. When you click to view the notification, it will lead you back to the app, to the doorbell ringcall page, where you can decide whether to answer this call.

Thank you, I have temporarily set up the way you set. It will be a good compromis.

However still not ideal. Besides It would been great to mute other phones to choosing. That way implementing a smart home system with more than one users in the house is doable.

Thanks for your comment. I haven't flagged it as solution, but it is a good mid-solution.

If you don't need doorbell notifications (all kinds of notifications) on a specific phone at all, then there is a way to do that: on the phone that doesn't need to receive doorbell notifications, open the Tapo app and go to the Me page > Notifications > Device Notifications > Management, find the doorbell and toggle it off. Then you won't receive notifications from this specific device on this mobile phone. And repeat the same operations on another phone.
