Hello TP-Link Community,

I’m using the Tapo H110 Smart IR & IoT Hub to control my air conditioner. However, every time I try to turn on the AC via HomeKit, it always switches to Heat mode instead of Cool mode.

When I press Cool at 22°C, the hub still sends the command as Heat.

- I already tried “Smart Match” and also “Custom Learn” for the remote, but the issue remains.

- My AC brand: Midea

Current H110 firmware version:1.1.0 Build 250514 Rel.. 162037

I called TP-Link Vietnam support, and they suggested that I should ask the TP-Link Community for further assistance.

Could you please check if this is a firmware bug or an IR code mapping issue? And is there any workaround or upcoming fix for this problem?

Thank you very much in advance!

Do you have a Matter-enabled controller from Apple?

Hi @Wayne-TP, Yes, I’m using Apple TV as my Matter-enabled controller. Other Matter devices in my home are working normally. For example, in the living room I control my AC through an Aqara M3 hub (also linked to HomeKit) and it works perfectly with Cool mode. The issue only happens with the Tapo H110 IR Hub in my bedroom: every time I set Cool, it always switches to Heat. Thank you!
