Hi @Wayne-TP, Yes, I’m using Apple TV as my Matter-enabled controller. Other Matter devices in my home are working normally. For example, in the living room I control my AC through an Aqara M3 hub (also linked to HomeKit) and it works perfectly with Cool mode. The issue only happens with the Tapo H110 IR Hub in my bedroom: every time I set Cool, it always switches to Heat. Thank you!

I'm experiencing the same issue so I did a bit of searching and according to the below table switching AC mode is not supported on Matter/Apple Home.

As a side note, I also have a Switchbot Hub mini and switching AC mode works fine with it so it is not a Matter/Apple Home limitation but rather a Tapo H110 limitation.  Therefore, the question is if/when Tapo will release a firmware update to support switching AC mode in Matter/Apple Home.

This issue is seriously affecting my smart home setup. Since the Tapo H110 cannot properly switch my air conditioner between Cool and Heat modes via HomeKit, it breaks many of my automations, as most of my routines are built through Apple HomeKit.

I use HomeKit as my primary automation platform because my home features multiple devices from various brands, all seamlessly integrated through HomeKit.

I really hope TP-Link can fix this issue soon in the next firmware update.
