@Zink
Hi,
Typically, after setting up the camera successfully, it will connect to your router's Wi-Fi and our cloud server. Then, you can control it locally and remotely. If you fail to control it remotely in the Tapo app, please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
What to do if I can't control my Tapo cameras on the Tapo app?
Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
1. What's the model number of your router? Who is your ISP? Do you have an internet connection when connecting to your router's Wi-Fi?
2. What's the LED status on the camera? Please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.
3. You can enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can control it remotely.
Best Regards
