Setting up
Do I ( step 1) setup the camera before installing as the instructions on the Quick start say plug in but the mounting guide (step 2) also says plug in. So do I mount the camera and then set it up?

We recommend setting up your camera in the Tapo app first. This allows you to configure the camera, connect it to your Wi-Fi, and ensure it's working properly before you mount it. This way, you can test the camera's view and adjust its position as needed. Once you've confirmed the camera is working and positioned correctly, follow the QIG/UG on our official website for your camera model to mount it.
(Usually, turning off the camera and then turning it on won't change the configurations on it.)
