Have a new D130 doorbell.

Follow the instructions to connect it to the Wifi, all seems OK.

Logging on to the router I see it connected to the Wifi but can't pair in the app.

 

Checking the DHCP server I can see the DHCPDISCOVER query, followed by a DHCP OFFER, which then just repeats.

Checking the Wifi and I can see that the D130 is still on it's default address of 192.168.0.10.

 

How can I connect?

I can't check the firmware until I can pair in the app.

 

There are a number of other Tapo devices on the same Wifi network which have paired without issue.

  @BJA35 

 

  • Double-check the WiFi password.
  • Make sure the Tapo app is updated.
  • Try to do the setup with another mobile device. 
  • Try to connect the doorbell to a different 2.4GHz WiFi, like a guest wifi or mobile hotspot, see if that works.

 

If there are several WiFi networks at your home, make sure your phone connects to the same WiFi that the doorbell is about to connect to during this configuration step.
