Issue with Setup While Overseas
I purchased a C211 online for my house in the Philippines. After downloading the app, I realised the device needs to be set up via Bluetooth, which requires being near it. How can I do this if I’m currently in Australia? I would like to use it to monitor my elderly parents.

Hi,
It's unable to configure the Tapo camera remotely. In your situation, asking a family member in the Philippines to help you set up the camera may be an alternative.

@Solla-topee Thank you for your reply. Someone is able to install the device for me, but I’m not sure how to add it to the Tapo app on my phone. Could you please explain how to set it up so I can view the camera?

Hi,
If the camera is set up successfully, it's bound to a TP-Link account. You can log in to the Tapo app on your phone with that TP-Link account to view and control the camera.
Note: You can find the TP-Link account(email address) on the Tapo app > Me page.
You can also inform the owner of the TP-Link account that the camera is bound to share the camera with your account. Below are the instructions.
Note: The shared account has limited permissions to the camera.

@Solla-topee Thank you so much! That was actually easy peasy! I’m finally able to view it on my phone, and I love how clear the video and audio are. Amazing!
