You can try the following steps to perform a factory reset on the camera.
1. Change your Wi-Fi name, password, and security type back to the original one that the camera was connected to.
2. Reboot the Tapo C500 and check if it can connect. If the camera is connected to the original Wi-Fi network and appears online in the Tapo app, you can remove it from the Tapo app to factory reset it.
3. Then, you can change the Wi-Fi network to the new one, and then reconfigure the camera in the Tapo app to connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.
However, if the Tapo C500 can't connect to the original Wi-Fi network, a hardware reset via the reset button is required to connect the camera to the new Wi-Fi network.
