Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

I have a TP-Link Tapo C520WS camera. It worked perfectly for a year.
Recently, problems started to occur. The camera began losing connection to the router. After resetting the settings and reconnecting it in the TP-Link Tapo app, the camera works for 5–10 minutes and then loses Wi-Fi connection to the router again.

I do not have a Mesh network. I have tried different routers, always using only the 2.4 GHz band. I tried different DNS settings on the router, including 8.8.8.8. I tried factory resets. I tried removing the SD card and using the camera without it. The issue still persists.

I enabled logs on the camera and I can provide the diagnose_log file for analysis. Please analyze it and provide information on how to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. The camera is not working. I have several other TP-Link Tapo cameras and all of them work perfectly except this one.

Re:Tapo C520WS is disconnected from Wi-Fi-Solution

Hi,
You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if the camera keeps going offline in the Tapo app.
What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going offline?

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
  1. What's the model number of your router? Is the Tapo C520WS directly connected to the router's Wi-Fi, rather than an AP/RE?
  2. What's the LED status on the Tapo C520WS when it's offline in the Tapo app? When the camera is online in the Tapo app, please go to its Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value.
  3. Does rebooting the camera restore the Wi-Fi connection?

Best Regards

Hi, 1) I tried different routers: TP-Link, Keenetic, Asus and the problem is the same 2) Led status is mostly red (or orange). Sometimes it goes with blinking red 3) Rebooting camera helps, it works for some time (5-10 minutes after reboot) and then again it goes offline with LED indicator change

  @BootGenius

Hi,
Are the Tapo C520WS and other Tapo cameras that work fine connected directly to the same router's Wi-Fi, rather than an AP or range extender?

When the camera is online in the Tapo app, please go to its Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value. If the RSSI is below -60 dBm, please move the camera and router closer and check whether this helps.

Best Regards

  @BootGenius
My camera is connected to the same router. I wrote that I tried different routers. The problems is the same. No wi-fi extenders. The camera is 1-2 meters from router.
I tried different routers and the problem is that same. I provided the logs that you don't want to take a look

  @BootGenius

Hi,
Thank you for the information provided. I've seen the logs you posted; however, they're not enough to identify the root cause of the disconnect.
I have escalated your case to our tech team, and they will contact you via email to assist you further. Please wait patiently.
Best Regards
