Hi,
Typically, when the camera's video mode is set to Auto, if there is sufficient light, it will automatically switch to Day Mode, during which the infrared LED will be turned off. Conversely, the camera will automatically switch to Night Mode when ambient light drops below a certain threshold, and the infrared LED turns on.
Most Tapo cameras that power via a power adapter keep the infrared LED on constantly in Night mode, providing the necessary lighting for the camera to capture clear images in a dark environment. If the infrared LED is turned off in Night Mode, the camera may capture blurry or completely dark images due to insufficient lighting. Currently, it's unable to turn off the infrared LED when the camera works in Night mode.
If you prefer invisible infrared LED (invisible to humans), please consider purchasing models that support it, such as the Tapo C225 V1/V2 or Tapo C125 V1.
The battery-powered cameras will enter a sleep state when no event is detected and when the Tapo app is not in use, and the infrared LED will turn off in the sleep state. When you access the camera in the Tapo app, it wakes up, and the infrared LED turns on when it's in Night mode.
Best Regards

Hi,
Currently, battery-powered Tapo cameras do not support image inversion through the app. This limitation exists because these cameras are designed to be installed upright for optimal performance. Installing the camera upside down or using an inverted image may affect important functions such as PIR (motion) detection and could also increase the risk of water entering the charging port, especially if used outdoors.
To ensure your camera works properly and maintains its battery life and weather resistance, please install the camera in an upright position as recommended in the user manual.
