Manual Recording not working
For both my 510 and 530 cameras manual recording is not working and never has. All detection video is flawless and "take photo" works as it should for both. When pressing manual record button it turns red , counter proceeds and recording notice flashes on screen,. When press to stop it stops and recording saved to memory pops up. When pressing playback and download then download file is there with proper time displayed but is all grey. When selecting file it opens, starts playing, time length is correct but screen is then black.
Latest firmware 1.3.3 on both units, both have 225gb sd cards. Purchased and installed the 510w a year ago Nov, the 530ws purchased and installed one month ago.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Apologize for the late reply. App is up-to-date version 3.17.184, tablet is a Lenova CT-X636f...Chrome OS Version 143.0.7499.203. Don't have another compatible device to try app on just windows stuff.
I did some more troubleshooting today and found that when camera resolution is set at 1080P both cameras manual recordings can be played back properly and the video thumbnail displays proper view. Setting resolution higher than that on either camera causes the issue.
Apprrciate any further insight.

Just double-confirm: is your Tapo app version 3.16.184 or 3.17.184? Did you download the Tapo app from Google Play?
Would you please send us a video showing the reported phenomenon that the manual recordings can't be played properly in the Tapo app? You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
For the manual recording that displays a black screen when playing, please download it to your phone's album/gallery from the Tapo app, then check if it plays correctly on your phone. You can also use other applications to play them for comparison, such as VLC.

Oops I'm all thumbs,. Yes app version is 3.16.184 downloaded from google play. The only device I have on hand to record is my tablet. I'll try to coral one of my kids to makea recording. I do not have a cloud account,..
I have dowloaded these manually recorded video files to my tablet and they still are blank/black. But yes I just realized I should be able to the downloaded file to you.

I've been downloading higher than 1080p manual recordings From tapo app to tablet, files yesterday it was hit and miss, some played fine some just black. Today a few downloads to tablet files played fine and thumbnail showed fine. However, inside the Tapo app these files thumbnailss are grey and they won't play, the recording opens but displays black. I'll send you screen shots of these phenomenon.
