Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.5

WiFi ISP went into scheduled downtime at about 5:34AM and came back a few hours later. Routers WiFi was still on. I think that's how C320WS still connects to the H200. H200 is wired to the router.
 

This screenshot (  https://ibb.co/dszFM736 ) shows scroll time and recording timestamp synced.  After ISP WiFi went down, recording timestamp is suddenly off by a couple of hours. ( https://ibb.co/HLCf55jx )

 

The time difference between the scroll time and the recording timestamp does not appear to be off by any amount of GMT time zone difference. 

 

H200 and C320WS and phone app are already on latest software versions.
Electrical power did not go offline at any time. 
Both devices are scheduled to auto update in the 6am to 8am time frame, not in the timeframe that the time stamp became incorrect. 
All device time zones are set to GMT+5:30. 

 

My question is - how can I prevent this from happening again, if I can.

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported phenomenon.

  1. Is the Tapo C320WS configured to connect to the H200 as instructed below?
      How to connect Tapo Wi-Fi Cameras with Tapo Hub

 

  2. When the ISP Wi-Fi went down, did you have internet when connecting to the router with an Ethernet cable? On the camera's Device Settings page, go to Network Connection to see whether it's connected to the router's Wi-Fi or the hub.

One correction:  When I say ISP WiFi went down, I mean no internet through the fiber to my home. The WiFi from the router was still ON as electrical power at home was not disturbed, it just didn't have any internet connection. Sorry, my mistake. 

 

Specific answers to your questions follow.

 

1. Yes, it is connected in exactly the same way.

 

I remember when I set up the hub as backup, the camera was still connected to the router. But at some point during the same night of this incident, the camera switched over to the Hub AP. It never switched back. I don't think that is a problem, but I'm just mentioning it. I have the camera set to auto reboot and it has been more than 24 hours from the incident. The camera is still connected to the Hub AP. Maybe the Hub AP has stronger signal to the camera. 

 

2. Did not have internet.
