Using a poe switch and splitter to run C520WS
Is it possible to run tapo cameras off a poe switch like a TL-SG1005LP ?
I've been looking at cutting back on using plugs from sockets to power my tapo cameras and using say a poe switch and some splitters to power my cameras to cut back as stated on power cables and have more stable Internet connection via ethernet
Is this possible?

Hi,
For best performance and to ensure the stability and safety of your camera, we recommend using the original power adapter and cord that comes with your camera to power it on. If you use a PoE switch and PoE splitter to convert the PoE output to the correct voltage and connector type required by your Tapo C520WS, it may work, but this is not officially recommended or supported by TP-Link, and we can't guarantee the camera's performance in this use case.
We have some Tapo camera models that officially support PoE(802.3 af/at), such as Tapo C325WB V2, TC40GW, and Tapo C501GW. You can try these models if they interest you.
Best Regards
