I have different models of Tapo cameras in different homes and sometimes one of them goes offline for no reason. The configuration it's ok, and the Wi-Fi signal is excellent. I understand that the internet connection can sometimes be down or crash, but when it comes back online, the cameras have to come back online. It's really annoying and tiring especially when no notifications are sent when the camera goes offline, many of us voted to add this feature for security reasons, but no response. Currently to get the camera to resume when it goes offline, you have to unplug and plug in the power cable, this sound bad, please tell me what to do to solve this problem

Hi, 
If rebooting the camera resumes the connection, you can enable the Auto Reboot feature on the camera's Device Settings > Reboot Camera page to see if it helps.

 

If the same phenomenon persists, please provide more details about it.
  1. How many Tapo cameras do you have? Do they go offline randomly, or only a specific camera?
  2. If a specific camera goes offline randomly, when it is working, please go to its Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check its RSSI value.
  3. How often does the offline phenomenon occur?

 

Regarding the offline notification feature, while we don't have specific details on whether this feature can be added to the product or when it might be, I'll log the feature request and pass it along to the relevant team for evaluation.
