Hello Tapo Team,

I am sharing app screenshots along with this post to clearly show where these features can be added and how they should work. I hope this will help the product team better understand the request.

Could the Tapo team add a feature like this to the Tapo app?

It would allow us to track who is viewing the live camera feed in a sharing app.

1️⃣ Live View Viewer Tracking (For Shared Cameras)

When a camera is shared with other users, there should be an option to see who is currently viewing or has viewed the live camera feed.

Suggested behavior:

• Add this feature on the Camera Live View page or inside Camera Settings → Sharing

• This feature will greatly improve privacy, transparency, and security for shared access.

2️⃣ Scheduled Camera Viewpoints (Pan & Tilt Cameras)

Can I schedule the viewpoint of the camera, for example, I want the camera to automatically rotate to viewpoint 1 at 7 am and shift to viewpoint 2 at 7 pm.

For Pan & Tilt cameras, please add an option to schedule specific viewpoints at specific times.

Suggested behavior:

• Add this under Pan & Tilt / Preset Positions / Patrol Settings

• Allow users to:

  • Select a saved viewpoint

  • Assign a specific time to it

• Example:

  • Viewpoint 1 → 7:00 AM

  • Viewpoint 2 → 7:00 PM

This will be very useful for home, office, and shop monitoring without manual camera control.
