Hi,
Please refer to Part 1 of the instructions below to troubleshoot if the Tapo C211's detection feature is not working.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
Please provide the following information for further analysis if the same phenomenon persists.
1. Send us the screenshots of the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, the detection zone, and the enabled detection types pages.
2. Whether you have enabled the Alarm feature or Notification feature in the Tapo app for your camera, but the camera does not make an alarm sound, or you do not receive detection notifications on your phone and Tapo app when the camera detects events?

3. Please record a video manually on the camera's live view page showing that there are motions, but the camera can't detect them. Then send us the video for analysis.
You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
