Hi. I have the above camera connected to my network with a cable and all was working fine with the Tapo app, but it has suddenly disconnected itself and I can't get it to reconnect. I know it's still functional as I can see it using VLC and also my Synology Surveillance App.I can't perform a reset as it's up 30 feet in the air. Is there any way I can reconnect it to the Tapo app using its IP Address?

Hi,
You can try the following steps and see if they help.


  1. Please ensure your router is working fine. You can connect a computer to the router with an Ethernet cable and check whether the wired connection works.
  2. Unplug the power cable to the camera, plug it back in after two minutes, then check if the camera is working fine.

 

If the same phenomenon persists, please provide the following information for further analysis.
  1. Please check the LED status on the camera if you can see it.
  2. Connect your phone to the same router as the camera, turn off the mobile data on your phone, then check if the camera will display online in the Tapo app.
