Motion detection zones not working

Model: Tapo C325WB
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I've got detection zones set up so that only my property is covered and the street at the top of the camera view should be excluded.
notifications for movement are enabled however it is being triggered by cars and people in the street not on my property. I've turned the sensitivity right down to 1 now but it's still triggering. At level 1 I'm not sure that it's going to detect small movement on my property even though it picks up large cars moving in the distance. However I can't reduce the sensitivity further and only option is to turn it off altogether which really makes it pointless.
the only thing it could possibly be picking up is sunlight changes, shadows and possible reflections. I thought this camera was supposed to have ai but so far it's less helpful than the blink camera it replaced.
any tips please? C325wb

Further update.
i have changed detection zones to make them different for each type. For motion detection I've noted the zone further back from the road line and also areas with plants which might move in the wind. It hasn't triggered yet but means not all of the area I'd hoped to cover is included.

i have left the area for people detection right up to the edge of my property. This is still triggering when someone walks past even though not a tiny part of a person is moving inside the boundary. There isn't even a shadow to blame.
seriously doubting my investment so far. If I have to reduce the boundary down to a small area where someone has to jump about waving at the camera, what's the point?

  @Harvo

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the reported phenomenon.
What should I do if my Tapo camera triggers false detection?

If the same phenomenon persists, you can provide the following information for further analysis.
  1. Please go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Detection page, send us the screenshots of the detection, detection zones, and the enabled detection types pages.
  2. Send us a video showing the event that triggers the camera's detection feature is outside the detection zone. Please also confirm which detection notification you received for this event (e.g., "person" or "motion" detected).

You can upload the screenshots and video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Best Regards
