Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250731 Rel. 15505

Hello TP-Link team

I have had Deco systems since you guys launched them and have been upgrading them all the time. Right now I have e BE85 (one of them is my main deco) and 2 XE75 Pro and one remote satellite M9 pro

I have been asking and waiting for the Wi-Fi Control feature for so long - In order to be able to switch Whitelist mode because without this then Parental Control do NOT work. And I am paying for it ...

I read that the BE85 should have this feature already but in my app i can't see it (not there at all) and i have my app on the latest version

Can you please advise what is happening and how can I have this feature on my network ? I am fine to install custom firmware

Thank you

Nuno

Hi, nice to see you again.

WiFi Access Control needs the support of all Deco units in the Mesh network. Deco BE85_V1_1.2.1 supports "WiFi Access Control".

Can I also have firmware versions on the Deco XE75 Pro and Deco M9 Plus?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hello   @David-TP  nice chatting with you again 😊

My firmwares are as per below

Please let me know the firmwares I should be using to enable this feature or what can you give me to do so

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

Deco M9 Plus might be a culprit, and the latest firmware 1.9.1 Build20250612Rel. 45690 doesn't support WiFi Access Control/Allow List.

Best regards.

Actually it's not - I removed it from my network as I thought the same thing (even though that firmware version says it supports it)

It appears version 1.2.1 of BE85 does NOT support this

Can you please send me a link or a DM with the beta for a firmware image that supports this feature for the BE85 ?

Thank you

Nuno

Hi, thank you very much for the quick reply. Sorry for the mistake, and you're right that Deco BE85_1.2.1 doesn't support WiFi Access Control/Allow List.

There hasn't been a beta firmware available as far as I know. I'll check with the senior engineer to see if there is any workaround.

Thanks a lot for your understanding and support.

Best regards.

Please do because this is a Highly speced Deco and it's disappointing that others are getting features before this model does ... I mean, I understand that other might have more users but this is one of your crown jewels I guess ... no ? (At least the price kind of shows that)

Thank you. Waiting for your reply

Yes... the BE85 is a high end model and it would be nice to have some updates like the BE65 is busy getting.

@BPCS

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

I checked with our engineering team regarding the beta firmware for Deco BE85 earlier. The new beta firmware, similar to 1.3.0 of Deco BE65, has not yet passed internal testing, so they do not recommend releasing it for community testing at this stage. I will keep the community updated as soon as there is further progress to share.

Really sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks a lot for your understanding and support.

Best regards.
