I use it for my pet as well and wish for such a feature too! The point of buying a tapo pan camera like my C225 is to be able to cover a wider 360 degree area when my pet moves. 

It totally makes sense for a pan camera to stay at the last detected position because it goes from A to B and will only come back from B to A. It removes so much value of the pan camera with the current behaviour of returning back to A after losing tracking at B.

To the support team, please feedback to the engineers and allow users an option to select this setting. It is not difficult to implement such feature.
