Camera will work when connected to electricity, but not charging. When power is disconnected, camera stops working. Have reset the camera but still happens. Anyone else had this problem?

As a first step, we kindly suggest performing a factory reset on the camera and then setting it up again in the Tapo app: How to Factory Reset Your Tapo Camera: Two Methods
After reconnecting the power, please check whether the charging icon is displayed in the app, which will confirm whether the camera is detecting the charging state correctly.
If the camera still does not charge and stops working once the power is disconnected, we recommend contacting TP‑Link Technical Support for further assistance.
