Firmware Version: 1.1.5

Hello,

I am experiencing a critical issue with my Tapo C246D (HW: 1.0, FW: 1.1.5).

Every time I try to enable the "Device Alarm" feature via the Tapo App, the camera immediately loses communication, freezes, and goes offline.

My Wi-Fi signal strength is excellent (-31 RSSI), and the camera is connected to a 2.4G network. Internet access is working perfectly fine for other devices on the same network. It seems like a hardware or firmware freeze during the logical initialization of the alarm trigger.

In short, when I activate the alarm and it detects someone, the camera's LED turns red, it loses communication, stops transmitting, and restarts. It doesn't make a sound or light up; it just keeps restarting.

Could you please help me find a solution or check if this is a known bug for this firmware version?

Thank you!

Do you use the original power adapter? Are there any extension cables? Does the LED turn solid red or blinking red?

Where did you enable the alarm feature—from the camera’s live view page or from its settings page? Does activating it from these two different places produce a different result or behavior?
